Thursday 28 April 2011: In the lakes
We did a Lake District classic activity today - a boat trip on Windermere. It was hot and sunny and the British were out in various states of undress and body shape. I felt very strange all day and had woken up with a bloodshot eye like someone had whacked me - maybe the waiter in L'Enclume didn't like the look of me ... bit of a queer day feeling generally strange. But undeniably a beautiful part of the country.
