Ohio River at flood stage

Sunday
A full, but uplifting Easter morning at church - singing at each of three services, together with hand-bells and brass and timpani. In the afternoon we went downtown to see the Ohio river at flood stage. This shot is taken on the Kentucky side, where the Licking River joins the Ohio. This riverfront road was flooded in places, but the river hasn't crested yet, so by Tuesday, this road will be completely under water. We saw a couple of tug boats and barges on the river - the tug boats didn't have much clearance beneath the bridges, so I'm not sure they'll be able to navigate the river by Tuesday. Having explored this area, we returned to the Ohio side, by the Serpentine Wall, where the water was right up to the top.
