The statue of J.V. Snellman receives an undergraduate hat. Many cities in FInland have the same tradition on the eve of May day/day of labour. This year the ceremony took place in Snellman's park because of a massive construction work at the market square. Normally it's the Veljmies statue at the market square which gets the hat but the statue has been temporarily moved elsewhere because of construction work.
