Sunday 1 May 2011: Fête des Ouches
Today I went to "la fête des Ouches". Ouches is a very old french word, probably from Brittany, meaning earth or plant. There were lots of specialised nurseries and local plant growers. I bought all my organic veggie plants for next to no money, six wild strawberry plants that I swapped for some euphorbia and some hippie stuff in jars
I also did what you should never do. I bought a plant 'cos it was pretty. It is the equivalent of going to the supermarket hungry. Now I have a pretty plant and no where to put it, oh well I just have to make another bed.
Food tonight was hippie pasta, with hippie stuff from a jar and melted cheese all with a glass of chilled Menetou-salon. Fab.
