Friday 29 April 2011: Silver Falls State Park
Yesterday, after work hubby and I traveled with our trailer/caravan out of town. We spent some time today visiting Silver Falls State Park. Love hiking the trails in this beautiful state park. This is the Lower South Falls in the park. It was such gorgeous weather and there were hardly any people. Every time I have been here in the past, there were lots of people walking around the trails and back behind this waterfall. In another month this place will be crawling with tourist and campers. I'm so glad we were able to go and get some good shots of the fall without people in them!
In February 2010, we stayed in a cabin at this state park with our grandson, Elliot. This is when I was so frustrated with my lack of skill in photographing waterfalls. It was here, where I was determined to learn how to photograph flowing water and I signed up for a workshop that helped me out a lot.
Tomorrow we plan to go back to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. A few weeks ago PacNW Blippers met for a blipmeet there! The Tulip Fest ends on Mother's Day next week, so I wanted to come up this weekend to take advantage of the good weather.
I posted a few more photos on my blog.
Thanks for stopping by!
