Monday 2 May 2011: Farewell
This was 'goodbye' this morning as they headed off on the bus to the airport in Lilongwe, 500 km away. A sombre mood fell over the house/hostel/home, particularly from Alipha who was in tears.
She had such a great time at the lake, there for the first and maybe last time - who knows. Few Malawians ever manage to get there.
The story was not over then; as we had awful trouble trying to get fuel for a bus that arrived without any!!
Anyway they arrived safe and well and the first lot are on their way, with the remainder traveling tomorrow.
