Desperately Seeking Susan

Darwin country

First walk of this year...shame on us. S and I did a 4.5 mile circular walk from High Elms Country Park to Downe (to shake off the walking cobwebs). Charles Darwin lived in Downe and the walk lead you around places that were important to Charles Darwin and his neighbour
Sir John Lubbock, who as a child learnt alot about natural history from Darwin and grew up to be an important scientist in his own right.

A few bluebells in the wood but are now going over. Stopped off for a cappuccino at lovely cafe in Downe.
