Symi Island, Greece

Wednesday 4 May 2011: The Far Side

I had a (photographic) job on the other side of the harbour today. It only takes me around 5 minutes to walk round, but it's amazing how few times I do it with working from home.

Gave me a chance to shoot some layers of Symi. The houses at the front is 'my side' and is the north side of the harbour. In the background is the Church of Evangelismos which is in the next bay called Harani (Also a boatyard) I took this there..

In the distance is the island of Nimos, part of Symi, and owned by the church. Many years ago it was where those suffering from Leprosy were taken and local fisherman would through them bread and fish.

So there you go. A Greek sandwich. I don't usually say this, but you'll get a better idea viewed LARGE.

EDIT

Can you spot the balcony dweller?
