Three of us at work have devised a wildlife-spotting points system. We each take two lunchtimes a week to wander the local area in search of wildlife, then we jot down what we see and tally up the points at the end of the week. We got very childishly happy deciding on the points - I think I did something similar when I was 8 years old.

Today I saw:
mallard (5 points)
coot (5 points)
moorhen (5 points)

There's one person on the list - we get 50 points for spotting the river bailiff. However, only one of us knows what he looks like. Come to think of it, he's the one that suggested we include the river bailiff in the points system. Hmm.
