Sawfly Eggs

Every year my Aruncus is attacked by sawfly larvae.  A few years ago they stripped every vestige of green from the plant, but fortunately it was mature and had enough reserves to grow back again the following year.

Ever since then I am on the early lookout for the tell-tale signs and ready with a large thumb and forefinger.  I found two leaves with eggs today.  There are probably more but they will be soon spotted once the holes start to appear.
