Thursday 5 May 2011: Munching Morning Lorikeet

"Be as a bird perched on a frail branch that she feels bending beneath her, still she sings away all the same, knowing she has wings."

- Victor Hugo

This morning a pair of lorikeets were chomping away at this tree about a foot from the window. I went for my camera, but while I was gone they hopped a little further away. Consequently they were smaller and backlit, so this photo I had to crop, and lighten shadows/darken highlights.

Still like it though - they're gorgeous birds.
