Thursday 5 May 2011: The opposite of happy...
433/365: ... is Maddy.
What a change from yesterday, huh?
Sunshine chops with a tortilla on his head yesterday. Misery guts with a frown on her face today.
She was like this when I arrived home from work. Tear streaked face. Bright red nose. Snivelling and grizzling.
Because her knee had gone click.
Honestly, I expect it to have fallen off at the very least. But no. Click.
A quick cuddle and a bit of sympathy (and a sneaky photo - yay for the dedicated blipper!), and she was good to go.
Me, I was ready to collapse. I hate commuting. It is energy sapping. Mind numbing. And it's making my hip and knee hurt (yeah, Maddy - real hurt... not just a clicky knee!). Pfff!
It's on my list of 'things to think about' sitting perched up high on the pile of other stuff I need to sort out. Which is kinda starting to threaten to drown me at the moment. I keep reminding myself that it's doable, it just needs prioritising and wading through... but it keeps on feeling like I'm attempting to sew together a ma-a-a-a-a-assive patchwork blanket and every patch has been hidden and needs finding... and the thread seems optional. And if I want a needle, I'm going to have to make it myself.
*deep breath*
Since getting home I've gone 'ooooooooOOOoooh!' that my frangipani seeds have sprung up enough that I can pot them on - yay! And battled with blip which was v.v.v.v.slow today.
Oh, and I've voted. The 'alternative vote' referendum outcome will be interesting. But they should have used Felix's system. I said we were going to vote. He said 'boat?', I said 'vote'... he asked if we were getting a boat... 'no, vote'... I replied. 'A little boat?' he asked...
I gave up.
PS Ahoy shipmates!
PPS Maybe the losing candidates should be made to set sail for other shores? Harsh but fair!
PPPS For or against the alternative vote system... the fundamental flaw that you're still voting for a politician exists... ;o)
