Like Suicide

Evening all,

Well, this was a surprise visitor into the house this afternoon, and one that doesn't seem too keen to be there by the look of it!!!

I mean in a house populated by cats, it could be considered by some to be at best foolhardy, and at worst a desperate cry for help verging on suicidal to enter at all.

I did think it might be a one bird rescue party aiming at freeing the captive budgie that sits in its little cage shouting for help all day long, but if so, it hadn't factored in the extreme vigilance and attention to duty that its feline prison warders exhibit.

Anyhow, after quick dust down with a tea towel and a stern talking to the slightly stunned bird was allowed off with a warning only, and with not even a backward glance it flew off as fast as its slightly ruffled feathers could manage.

Last seen sitting in one of our trees no worse for wear but with a story that'll keep it in bird seed at anyone's dinner table in the future..
