São Paulo

This is São Paulo, my hometown. It is one of the largest cities in the world and a very multi-ethnic city, with descendants of people from Italy, Germany, Japan, Lebanon, Syria, Spain, Portugal etc. I have a love-hate relationship with it. It has thousands of interesting places to go, to know or to eat. A lot of job opportunities and interesting people to know. At the same time, the city grew to fast (from 70,000 habitants to 11 million in 120 years) without major planning. So, pollution, traffic and floods are a major problem here. This view is of Jardins (gardens), one of the fanciest areas of the town.

Barrioboy took a great picture from the city recently.
