Curving From Sight

"The road winds up the hill to meet the height
beyond the locust hedge it curves from sight
And yet no man would foolishly contend
that where he sees it not, it makes an end."

- Emma Carleton

Out doing a home visit, we drove past this stone wall curving away, with another on the other side of a wide grassed path. I'm not sure what it was; I'd think just a reserve or park, but there was a sign at its entrance warning to keep clear in heavy rain because it can flood - although it were a spillway of some sort.

In any case, I liked the look of the wall, so after we finished the visit, we returned so I could take a few snaps. I used the noir preset in Photogene on my iPad.

I've got the colour version of this and couple of other pics from the same spot on my blog.
