Weather for ducks...and here they are!
Home sick again. Light rain, yet bright outside. I was reading and Linda said "Was that a duck?" I looked but saw nothing. Not five minutes later we see a male mallard at the base of our bird feeder. We see ducks in the garden or in the field, rarely. Mrs. Duck was on the other side of the chain link fence trying to get through. No luck for this duck. Drake Duck clued in after feeding his gob that his better half wasn't with him so he waddled up the path to the gap in the fence and walked her back. Such a gentleman. Linda tossed out some bagel fragments which they happily chomped. I shot some frames and blipped the one you see here. They may have been drawn by the decoy (a leftover from pool days when we had ducks regularly through in spring). The bird feeder may have drawn them. I didn't ask.
