Off The Hook

This is the name of the exhibition of art by Rita McGurn.

At the beginning of the week the life size (or should I say larger than life) crochet sculptures were previewed at Gandolfi Fish Restaurant in Glasgow and are now showing at the Virginia Gallery.

The brilliant works by Rita McGurn include a variety of figures, and there are lots of them, ranging from formally dressed to outrageous and scantily clad, sitting and lying on chairs, or on on shelves, some on the floor or against the wall. They all have names.

Any works purchased will see a portion of the sale price going to the Yorkhill Hospital Children's Foundation.
