Sunday 8 May 2011: Bald spot
436/365: This is replacement blip for a shot I shared earlier which in hindsight was extremely dull. This one isn't much better, but it'll remind me of the state of Maddy's hair after a dandelion clock fight on the way back from flying kites this evening. Long hair and over-enthusiastic five year olds blowing dandelion seeds every which way don't mix!
Today's reject blips...
Buggy buttercup just a shade 'meh'
Fairy cakes (v.yummy but my photos were v.crappy)
Red flower (which I didn't know the name of)
The cat (rolling about in the garden but just not a good photo)
I always know it's a bad sign where I take a load of photos. It means I don't know what I'm up to and if I weren't beligerently taking a photo a day, I'd be better off not getting the camera out. They're all a bit 'meh' really. The bugs on this one saved it from my pile of irritation (if that doesn't sound like a revolting type of haemorrhoid, I don't know what else does!). So it can stay.
Have also been marking today. It's v.slow and v.dull. But I'm trudging through it so in a couple of days it should be done. I've also repotted my Frangipani plants I grew from seed a few weeks ago and the radishes I planted last week are popping up in the veggie patch, which is ace. I've also planted another load of carrot seeds as the first batch just weren't really doing anything. There's a simple pleasure in gardening. I don't know why I'm always surprised when things I've planted come up. Silly really, huh?
Right now, I'm quickly re-blipping before returning to marking. Other stuff today? I made brown sugar fairy cakes, Nick took the kids to the Nottingham Contemporary to see the latest exhibition there and we finished off the day with the dandelion-infested kite flying after dinner. Ta da!
So... head down... I will get this marking done...
Nynnnnnggg....
PS How does one spell the sound effect of the 'power of concentration'???
PPS Yes, yes... i know... I should return to my marking...
