Monday 9 May 2011: Pilrig House
This example of Scottish Baronial overlooks Pilrig Park and presumably, way back, is responsible for the existence of the latter.
According to their website Pilrig House was the home of the family of RL Stevenson's mother, the Balfours of Edinburgh.
Inter alia it provides some self catering accommodation.
When you cycle past a building every day, it is easy to take it for granted.
