Tuesday 10 May 2011: The Little Things
Our neighbours are away at the moment. We always offer to help water their garden, and in return they always offer us what's being harvested
Almost all our food comes by boat to Symi. Tourism is what drives the local economy, and many of the islands original plantations have grown wild or been left. It is starting to come back slowly though, and there are a few starting to grow their own these day.
Here, some blue leaf broccoli I've just watered. Tastes amazing. Though I should have photographed a leaf that hasn't had some bug chew holes in it.
+Go BIG.
