Boosterpumps in HDR
Unit EC 20 in preservation...
A look in HDR in the cellar across the suctionpipes of the boosterpumps of the auxiliary coolingsystem.
This system cools the main lubricating oil system, the fresh watercoolingsystem and the condenser of the main feedwaterpump that is driven by steam.
At the right side in the back is one of the main coolingwaterpipes (diam. appr 2 meters) where the boosterpumps are connected to via a musselstrainer.
The up going pipes are the pressurepipes of the pumps with checkvalves.
There are three so-called 50% pumps, during service two pumps are running.
