Growing Up

The perfect way to get Euan to clean his bedroom was discovered today. It's only taken us 7 years to discover it too.

He's been hinting at wanting a new bed for a wee while so Samantha took him in to choose a replacement for his all metallic cabin-bed type thing he currently has. It's getting delivered on Tuesday and, since he returned, he's been up there filling black bags, emptying cupboards and drawers and making some tough decisions on what 'toys' and other objects he's collected in his near 13 years were being chucked out. He's also found a digital camera that's been missing since last summer, various bits of things that mean the things can now be used again, lots of no longer recognisable food items and a whole piggy bank's worth of money.

Five hours later and I can still hear him moving around furniture up there.

So, the Beast Quests and Horrible Histories are being relegated in favour of his PS3 and DVD collections (no Disney, Pixar's still in there though) and the plastic toys are being substituted and replaced by deodorants and smelly stuff 'For Men'.

They don't stay weans for long nowadays, do they?
