to William the Silent Duke of Orange. Inscription on a statue on Queens campus of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. Rutgers was founded in 1766 as Queens College one of the first colonial colleges[The Ivy league [except for Cornell] and Rutgers and William and Mary. It was supported by the Dutch Reformed Church that still has a seminary on a section in the Campus. This sentiment has never failed to move me and i post it for our Dutch blippers.
