Monday 16 May 2011: Children's Sculpture Garden
Today I enjoyed a self guided tour of the Cathedral of St. John the Devine. It's the largest church in America. Such a beautiful and fascinating structure. Since it was pouring rain today, and my daughter's were busy, I thought it would be a great way to stay out of the rain.
Last time I was in New York I got a really great shot of the front of the cathedral with blue skies and nice fluffy clouds. Today it was totally gray. So unfortunately the sky in the background of this shot of the Children's Sculpture Garden is so blah. I do love this sculpture though. It's located next to the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine. It depicts the battle between the Archangel Michael and Satan.
I walked a ton today, met up with the girls at different times and got a small tour of the Columbia University campus.
Thanks for stopping by!
