Tuesday 17 May 2011: Isn't it funny...
...what you see when you're not looking?
Spent ages over the past week or so trying to survey dragonflies and damselflies but the little wotsits are so quick I couldn't tell one from the other. Then this morning, there I was minding my own business as I walked through Wakehurst, when I saw this just sitting there on a leaf. It's definitely a male and I think it's an Azure Damselfly but it might be a Common Blue Damselfly - difficult to tell!
Tried (unsuccessfully) to get rid of the pink in the shot but in the end Photoshop and I had to agree to part company for the foreseeable future!
And thank you so much for all your encouraging messages for my friend yesterday! Didn't catch her at school today but shall nab her tonight after Brownies!
