Wednesday 18 May 2011: Wandering in the park
This morning my daughter and grandson left for work and school. My other daughter was busy as well so I took off for Riverside Park. The rain had stopped and there was a little sunshine for awhile. It has been raining every day since I came to New York. Such a weird spring everywhere.
The parks in New York are so beautiful. Loved taking random photos here and there. I wanted to take photos of the Soldiers & Sailors Monument but there were a group of children playing ball in the front. I waited for them to leave and then an older group of children came to play!
Later, my youngest daughter met me on the way back to their apartment and I did a photo shoot along the way. By then it started to rain and we got soaked! We ducked into the historic Riverside Church to get a break from the rain and see the inside of the church. What an amazing church that one is!
This is my youngest daughter. It was hard to choose photos because I took so many.
Yesterday, my oldest daughter and I met up with blipper, Challenge who is also in New York this week. We had a great time visiting and I had the opportunity to see the pro at work doing a photo shoot. I hope I can do as well as she does on portraits someday!
