Sunday 22 May 2011: Sunburnt cheeks...
450/365:... otherwise known as 'the day we realised it was Slapped Cheek syndrome instead'.
He does look nicely rosy cheeked though. It's a good look for him, I think!
As normal, he's chirpy enough... but the dawning realisation that actually he hadn't just got sunburnt cheeks when I saw him yesterday morning (and was told that he'd got sunburnt cheeks by Nick) to going 'ooOOooooh... I think he might have a virus' took 24 hours. Whoops!
What have I done today? Worked. All day. So no time at all this weekend for any relaxing. Ah well... sometimes things are like that and at least I'm nearly finished with working and will grab at least an hour slumped in front of the TV tonight. Yay! Am being really rubbishy with managing my workload at the mo. Yes, I have too much work on. But dropping any of it isn't an option and it's such a struggle to keep on keeping on with it when I'm feeling kinda pooped. Wish there was a magic wand to make this easier! I wanted to plant some French Beans and do a bit of weeding - but zero time even for that which is pretty pants.
Oh, and I could've quite fancied doing a bit of kite flying today too. The weather's been crazily windy. Gushy and exciting and busily flinging the trees about like a crazy thing. Maybe I'll find time to sneak out for a quick walk tomorrow and get myself some of those rosy cheeks!
Not the 'my kid is ill and I didn't spot it' variety. I save that sort for my children.
*whistles innocently*
PS I think I may have gone to the bottom of the parenting class
PPS But there's cake, so that'll do me :o)
