Saturday 21 May 2011: Fishing Weekend Blur #2
A day's fishing. It was incredibly blowy and there were few rises, and little obvious surface insect life, but I had an intermediate sinking line, unlike the old days when all I had was a floating line, so I was able to get down deep, where hopefully the rainbow trout were cruising about (they don't move up and down the water columns y'see). Cripes, five commas in a sentence! And I got it just right - eventually. Two fine specimens, 3lbs apiece. Back to Mr H's van via the Craw Inn at Auchencraw - what a great wee place. Wish there were more country pubs like that. Well, at least in terms of the beer.
