Tuesday 24 May 2011: Morning paws
452/365: ... one of those 'no time at all' kinda days. I sneaked myself 15 minutes of time for me at a quarter to six this morning when I took this shot and watered the veggie plot.
It's a pathetic where the only break I have all day is before most people have turned over and fidgeted in bed let alone thought about getting up or having breakfast.
At least my veggies are looking happy!
Today at work? Well... yeah. Got lots done. Had a complete meeting overload but plenty of good chats with positive people and that rates as being pretty darned groovy. Okay, less meetings would be pretty sweet. I didn't manage to get home from work until 7pm and because Nick and the kids were out at a party I delved back into the single version of my life and had a cuppa and a piece of toast for my dinner. Is it just me who doesn't bother when they're on their own? All I want to do at the end of the day is to have some quiet time where I'm not having to talk or make decisions or plan or prepare or discuss. Just sit.
Bit like the cat. A moment of still and quiet. And then back to chasing my tail!
The kids have just got home and Felix and Maddy had a good time. Apparently as part of the party they went fishing in the lake which is outside their friend's house. They had properly excited little faces about it all too! They both caught a carp and it 'wriggled and jiggled' and then they put it back 'when it was about to die'. Lovely. Ermmm...
PS Felix has just drawn me a spaceship.
PPS I nearly held it upside down but his beady eyes were watching me like a hawk and I got yelled at to hold it the right way
