A little breeze

To say there was a light breeze today would be a bit of an understatement! This was the canal at lunchtime.

Later in the day the wind was so bad that National Rail apparently cancelled ALL trains in Scotland and a lot of flights were cancelled - not fun!

My brother was heading for the airport at just after 7pm so I scrounged a lift from him back to my car. He then found that his flight had also been cancelled.

Typically, the wind wasn't due to hang around too long but the Icelandic Volcanic Ash cloud is due to blanket Scotland tomorrow! Wonder if my bro will make it to London tomorrow?
