Saying goodbye to Grandpa

As funerals go, that was not bad at all.

He had a Scottish country dance band and had taught himself by ear, how to play the accordian. When we waited for the service to begin, we chatted and laughed as the sounds of his music played. As he went, his music played and as we left he was still playing.

The wake was just as relaxed and the Great grandchildren had a ball.

Mr.R and Curlyfries and I, left the rest of the family in good spirits and headed to Edinburgh for a meal with Ally. A special voucher I had bought for the Japanese Tapas type restaurant Bonsai, allowed me to treat them. It was well worth the visit.
Their Tampura is out of this world. It's small and intimate, but worth a detour from the normal eating experience in the centre.
