Gillipaw's Journal

Palm House, Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh

An opportunity to visit the Garden today. Although grey and overcast, we didn't get too wet. I liked this view through the trees to the Tropical Palm House, built in 1834, with a hint of the external supporting structure of the glasshouse on the right, built in the 1960's.

JCB and tractors around the place, dealing with several trees that have come down in the storm.

I had my Blip badge on my bag, and was carefully looking out to see if I might spot anyone. I spotted a guy shooting with a Canon 5D, red ring lens and a filter system set up at the Chinese Garden waterfall ... I can but dream.
