Friday 27 May 2011: Little Ringed Plover

Cloudy and grey day, only 15 degrees and the wind made it feel colder. Some light rain during the afternoon.

I was having morning walk at the banks of Rantamo and watching one Marsh Harrier flying very low above the fields. Lapwings were screaming above as they usually do. I thought that was because of the Harrier. Then I noticed two tiny lapwing youngs quite near and started to go away slowly.

That was the moment when I saw this Little Ringed Plover.

Also swans and Canada geese at the lake.
