Fashion in the spotlight

One of the fantastic designs in the theatrically staged Degree Show by BA (Hons) Costume students at Scarborough's Yorkshire Coast College, which I photographed today for the News.
The Westwood theatre has always been tricky to photograph in, so dark even with lighting, it used to be Alan Ayckbourn's 'Stephen Joseph Theatre', now it's an art college. The student's fashion show had moments of great lighting, and this girl used the downlight to excellent effect. I just had to be quick to catch the moment!

I'm very pleased that the 'art car' I blipped a couple of days ago, part of the same degree show, has been chosen as one of blipfoto's 'Blips of the week'. Proof of the excellent work on show at the college.
