Monday 23 May 2011: alert, but calm
Contrary to probable belief I did get round to getting my dad a birthday card last year, though probably not until a few days too late to post, even without performing the amendments planned to the card as it was bought. Fortunately, as he was up here this year, no postal delay had to be borne which allowed the card to be fished out yesterday evening and swiftly amended this morning. In lieu of a gift he was able to use (we went out for cakes but he paid, not using the voucher) I'll have to try and re-find the other gift I was going to get him last year.
