Golden silver birch leaves early afternoon

Biking through the Burwood Hospital grounds we came across this grove of silver birch trees.

Have tried taking them before but never with any success. Today I did what a photographer I know says and "walked around the shot" and I found there was a much better shot to be discovered round the other side!

Beautiful day, had a lovely lunch and headed home to the garden, more spreading of pea straw. Half the garden done now and it still looks like being fine tomorrow. Great!
