A moth ....

... sorry I cant be more specific but he was very small, and very spotty and sitting on a pea plant. The weather continues to be be awful - dull, grey, drizzly and humid.

Sped around being virtuous and doing the chores this morning and then we're off back to the film festival. Last night we opted to go and see a screening of a full length film - Snap. It was pretty heavy and harrowing, full of tension and very multi- layered. The theme was child abuse over three generations. Ooof. The director was present, a young Irish woman, who did a very good questions and answer session afterwards. I needed chips afterwards but none were to be found so we stopped off at Canteen in Ballydehob on the way home and had a delicious and unusual meal - couscous and pistachio cakes for me, while himself had hake with virgin sauce!!!! He wasn't quite sure what had gone into that! This afternoon we going to see the films that have been shortlisted for prizes and may stay on to see the film made about the film festival! It's starring our friend Klaus (well he has a sentence to say) and as they were filming in his gallery asked him what music was playing. It was his own work and they are now using that as the film's score!

Hopefully I'll have time for a bit of browsing later if not will catch up tomorrow.

The teacher in me has had to go and look up the moth - hmm, could it be a Variable Burnet??? They're not meant to get as far as the British Isles? Mollyblobs - help please :)

La55e has just identified it for me - its a Anania funebris! There must be a simpler name!
