Sunday 29 May 2011: Finish Punch
We were running round Ripon today in an Urban Orienteering Event, I love these! They confirm that my brain is still functioning okay! Urban races are much faster than field orienteering and you have to make decisions on the hoof. Ripon has lots of York type ginnels and snickets, some of which are dead ends and costly on time. Today there were lots of route choices too, so you really had to plan ahead. This runner is coming in to the final control after a sprint from the penultimate. The clock stops when he punches his computer unit on his finger into the block!
Tomorrow we are running round York!
