Low pressure steamturbine blading
The past weekend the major overhaul of unit EC 3 started.
Part of the machinery has been cooled down enough to stop the shaft from turning (on turning gear).
This is the last row of blades, the outletblades of the low-pressure turbine.
At the far right: Markus, technician from the overhaul service.
Here in LARGE....
A week ago we had some water coming out of the leak detection of the boiler.
We could hear a sound inside the boiler, that sounded like a leak.
When we entered the so-called headerspace of the boiler we saw the insulation lying all around....
A drainpipe had been completely torn off.
Here's an overview.
So, an additional repair....
With the new 28-300 lens I'm missing a bit of the wide-angle....
