Monday 30 May 2011: Keeping a Watchful Eye over Her While she Sleeps
An Italian Nurse can be seen here watching over a child as she recovers from surgery to her mouth and throat.
She was born with severely deformed lungs and throat and has been in the local Iraqi Hospital since birth.
Due to her breathing difficulties she must be monitored constantly until she recovers from the surgery.
If successful she will be able to go home for the first time and breathe without the use of medical equipment.
All the kind people who sent Noor messages of hope will be pleased to know she has received them this morning. She is sleeping 22 hours a day at the moment but woke briefly while i was there.
One of our female translators will sit with her this evening and read them to her.
