Monday 30 May 2011: Reality bites...

459/365: ... or the moment Maddy attempted to rescue a bird from the jaws of domesticus catticus.

Hmmm... &*%$@£!!

Blip just ate my last entry so I have to retype the whole damn thing. GRRRRRR!!!

I can't be bothered, so you get the condensed version of my day...

Cat catastrophe
Poorly birdie

Cat owner guilts
Off to shops
Bought some pots
Home for lunch
Made iced buns
An' pie for tea
Properly yummy
Wet woodland walk
Adventuring kids
Soaked but happy

Oh, and Maddy Moo made a sign after her bird rescue adventure. It reads:

I help enye Creator that is herte no Mata Wat [and on the reverse side] I see the wai that anmols do and now I undussand.

Which translates, once you've sifted through her atrocious spelling, as...

I help any creature that is hurt, no matter what. I see the way that animals do and now I understand.

And she stuck it on the fridge. I can imagine our kitchen becoming like a Disney movie as the various animals arrive to be tended to. I wonder if I could make some money from it?? I don't know if the bird survived, by the way. We put it in a safe place in the garden and two hours later it was gone. The optimistic part of me hopes it flew away. The pessimistic bit thinks... well... y'know...

That's it. Day off work = lovely. Still feeling kinda tired but not as bad as the last few days. In fact, tonight I'm going to stay up past 7pm.
