image format not recognised

Probably the worst message to see when you are importing images, especially when you have a card full of images ready for HDR processing.

So,over to Camera Salvage on the old computer to see if that can fix the problem - please enter your serial number. There were a few expletives at this point, check email and found serial number. Rescued the images and another 20 that had been deleted weeks ago.

So, this is the result of 15 exposures, re-processed in Photoshop HDR, then converted to black and white, using a mixture of channel layers and selective masks.

Now off to test the card, although I imagine it is on its way to the bin, once this starts to happen, experience tells me it will happen again.,
