Monday 30 May 2011: Elowah Falls

This morning hubby and I took a hike to Elowah Falls. I had seen some really beautiful photos of this waterfall and was hoping to get some good shots. The spray from the falls was pretty strong and we got really wet. We had climbed to get this shot but every other view from the top had more trees and plants in the way.

I really wanted a shot from the bottom so we climbed to a perfect spot. The water was a bit too high though even with my boots. I would have needed hipwaders on in order to wade out for the best shot so I will have to try another time.

I have so many waterfall shots still to process. This year we covered more ground and I took more photos. There were less people due to the weather, so that helped. In the summer it's nearly impossible to try and photograph due to the amount of people that visit the Gorge falls.
