Tuesday 31 May 2011: Sunshine came softly ...
... through my window today. Unfortunately I then realised I had to get up and haul myself off to the punishment block. Three new starters today and I had first crack at softening them up. Hopefully they were so intimidated and overwhelmed by my grasp of the tedious subject matter that they'll give me a wide berth in future.
High point of the day was dialling into DMcG's leaving speech. A man who has been pressed into making more leaving speeches than anyone I can recall, he joined the org as a bright young whippersnapper in 1976. A long and happy retirement to you Deek - and hopefully see you on Thursday for a snifter!
