Poulton Gala Day

For those of you non resident in the area or even Country, around these parts in the summer months it is tradition for most Villages to have a'Gala'. This involves a procession of people in fancy dress, decorated wagons (called 'floats') and usually a Gala Queen and her retinue all who walk or ride through the village to a Village Green or Community area. Monies for Charity are collected en route. There will usually be a funfair at the end of the procession. Today was the first Gala which took place in Poulton-le-Fylde and the sun shone all day long (a rare event in recent years as many Galas have fallen vitim to foul weather). We had a fab time and here are my boys on one of the rides, Meteorite, this one turns 360 degrees very fast and goes from horizontal to vertical.
I preferred to stay on the ground today and be 'photo mom' :)
