Cow parade, Belgrade

Beyond exhausted. A day of three capitals. Today started at 4 am in Skopje amidst numerous drunken happy Irish football fans. Continued via Belgrade where we had a work meeting and then I went to see a friend's baby, ending up drinking wine with the father..., and ended this evening at 10.30 pm in Sarajevo in preparation for another conference tomorrow.

To get a sense of how tiring (and wierd) that has been, imagine travelling between Birmingham and Leeds but having to go via Newcastle; and each of these cities is in a different country and there are no roads or trains to speak of between them.... Additional debilitating factors included the above mentioned football fans who kept many people awake in Skopje on Saturday night although they were a genial lot, and high humdity and heat (30 degrees) in Belgrade.
