Kinda Horrigans

Wednesday 8 June 2011: The ornithologist...

467/365: ... 'yeah, yeah... I'm just up here... y'know... checking that the poor ickle birdies are all safe and sound in their nests...

Honest.'

She's kinda determined though, right? I had wondered how she'd managed to get herself some baby birds. I think she views the hedgerow as a kind of kitty pick 'n' mix. One nest here. One nest there. Whatever combo you fancy is available should your little claws desire.

*consumed by cat owner guilt for a moment*

At least she didn't catch anything (and she has provided my blip when I had no other time for photography). Although there is just over an hour left of today, so I'd better touch wood quickly!

Oh, and this is another late blip as today was day 2 of parents' evenings. This one was pretty gentle. Another circle of parents and teachers. A nice chat. Bit of discussion. Tea and biccies. Tour of the new classroom. The obligatory request for DIY help. And just about 2 hours long again. I have done my parental service for the week!

Poor kids if they need me for anything tomorrow or Friday. I'm unavailable.

It's only fair!

Hmmmm... not lots else to say today (though that never normally stops me!)... busy at work and meetings on top of meetings. Funny though, I'm still not feeling that same head crushing stress of my last job. And this job is just as chaotic and messy to sort out. Shows what an impact certain people can have, doesn't it?

Can hear one of the children starting to cry upstairs...

PS I can feel my resolve to ignore my parenting duties crumbling...
PPS ... and... it's gone
PPPS Mummy to the rescue! Nightie night!
PPPPS I think I want my own fanfare for moments like these!
