Thursday 9 June 2011: Love Maple leaves...

468/365: ... don't love migraines.

And since nature provided me with both today, I think balance has been restored somewhere along the line.

Haven't had a migraine for a few weeks, but I could really feel this one brewing earlier and despite getting on to it as quickly as poss medication-wise, it was too late. Bloomin' thing had taken hold and that was that. Ended up missing a meeting I wanted to go to and left work early to try to drive myself home before my vision went. Migraines are such a pain in the backside. I think it was the relative darkness of today coupled with the need to have the lighting on and trying to read / write up some bits an' bobs which was the recipe for disaster. Ah well, an early night will help, I'm sure.

Am getting kinda sick of the weather at the moment. Optimistically I still have my toes on display. But they're turning blue and no amount of nail varnish will hide that. Flaming June?! Yeah. Flamin' bloody June.

Maddy's a lot better today which is a relief. She was back at school and other than a brief spell of crying first thing - you have to give her credit for trying to get another day off - she survived in one piece. Yup. One piece. With a side helping of a 'slightly falling out of a tree and banging her head' incident. Her friend had agreed to catch her (gotta love their genius ideas, right?)... but then because she's equally ditzy, got distracted and Moo went splat. D'oh. Fortunately, her head is made of sludge and fairies so no lasting damage done. I fear the 'Parent of the Year' award may be slipping away from me, however...

Before I forget to say. The main bit of confusing work stuff seems to be slowly resolving. Impressively since starting my job on the 1st of April... I'm just about to be in my third department with my third line manager.

I'm starting to think it might just be me...
