Poinsettia

This poinsettia grows across the street in the neighbor's garden and it towers about 20 feet+ into the air. It grows behind a high fence and judging from what can be seen, it is a huge plant.

It makes a lovely display at the moment.

This 'flower' head is about the size of two large dinner plates.

"What we think of as the "flowers" are actually specialized leaves or bracts. The real flowers are the little round yellow thingies in the center. The euphorbias all contain a white milky latex sap which can be irritating to the skin and mucous membranes and cause nausea and vomitting if ingested but are not deadly poisonous as the urban legend has it.
"

Also known as Euphorbia Pulcherrima.
