Friday 10 June 2011: two be

There was very nearly an Incident this morning when both the original monkey and the recently-acquired secondary/spare/emergency-in-case-of-misplacement-loss-or-vomiting were momentarily visible from the same position, at that moment occupied by the pair of wingpiglet eyeballs attached to the body attached to the arm attached to the hand which was unexpectedly clutching the cot-based original when he was brought through in the morning. Don't think he spotted the spare before it was hastily hidden and hopefully by the time he is able to read and find this entry he'll be old enough to understand. Then again, he was trundled past a pile of similar (but a size too big and the wrong colour) monkeys in a shop when I was seeing if they were physically available somewhere rather than just over the internet to ensure that the replacement would be the precisely correct model.
